Passing through “paradise”
Just passing through the “Big Olive” Kettering Library on a Saturday.
The news yesterday was not what we have all wanted to hear..
But at a nonstop Adcil meeting yesterday Scott Warren , current prof and fan of Habermas and the like, quoted the great American philosoher, Yogi Berra , ” It ain’t over til it’s over”.
just Spent a few minutes in downtown YS ..saw some locals and some faculty…..passed the everpresent weekend peace demonstrators on Xenia and Limestone street…
waving their blue earth flags and signs..peace is patriotic..
and have come here to read e mail and the like.
and since the sky is blue today…it’s off to a hike in the Glen. Have actually seen some first wildlowers….some also blue.
I will appreciate the College and the river of people who have passed through it and are STILL passing through it as long as possible.
Please think about coming to graduation and be alert for local events or gatherings that may be sponsored by a coalition of Antioch and YS and alumni folks.
and check all those Antioch related websites……..Reunion or even un-Reunion.
Yesterday on some email groups I read that someone was only thinking four letter words…please be sure to add these four letter words to your vocabulary … GIVE and HELP.
and TAKE CARE
Duffy
Thanks to ACCC, the alumni board, the CRF and hundreds of you all the way from Arthur Dole, Katy Jako, through Di Bahr and younger folks like Tim Noble and Laura Fathauer.
It takes a village to raise a college.
Now off to the woods to be a tourist.
in the words of Joe Cali each spring on seeing hikers..”what’s wrong with these people? You’d think that they’d never seen trees before?”
